Abercrombie lands another killer third act! Very excited to start the third in the trilogy after this one.

Brutal, unpredictable and action-packed. Inspiring to see Abercrombie let his characters make so much personal progress yet plunge them into even greater danger.

Glad to learn that some of the Magi were women! Still annoying that most of the women in the book were sexualized; but Eider, Ferro, Vitari, and Cathil at least felt like people (skipped most of the Ardee parts tbh).

Will be fascinated to see where the hell things go from here!

I stared at the wall for a while after finishing this. I should have googled before starting this series. Some naive part of me still thought this would have a happy ending. Good though!
