I’m so glad I went back to read this prequel novella for the Blasphemy series. Mia is an amazing woman and knows what she wants. In her professional life, she takes charge and leads the way. In her personal life she craves domination. Good thing Kyler loves to dominate. They have fantastic chemistry with an instant connection that neither can deny. But Kyler wants nothing to do with anything even resembling a relationship.
It was fun to see the other Masters at Blasphemy call Kyler out and nudge him in the right direction. It’s easy to see why he has misgivings, but sometimes fate laughs at our best intentions. These two were meant to be.
There are some intense scenes between this couple, including one that is consensual non-consent. So be sure you’re going in with your eyes open if you cannot read noncon. Again, it’s consensual. But it’s still potent.
If I hadn’t read the first couple of books of this series yet, this story would definitely have me interested in reading more. That means it did its job.
