Audiobook (All of my entries on The Story Graph are audiobooks.)
#13 in series
Will I read other installments? Probably Not Maybe Likely Most LIkely Definitely I've been reading this series since 2014, but I got bored with the books and decided to try the audio versions. This book was still hard to get through. I'm committed to the series, so I will continue, but I'm not sure how soon I'll listen to the next one.
Comparison to others in series: Better About the same Not as good Good, but it could have been better I really liked reading the first few installments of this series, but the last two have been too long and dull. If I had been reading this verses listening to the audiobook, I would be reading for six months.
The narrator was Jenny Sterlin. I liked her narration. It made the book tolerable.

CW: suicide and death

In 1924, Mary and Sherlock decide to go to Japan, but, as usual, get embroiled in a case by some people that they meet. The next year, things come back and they're brought into a new yet similar mystery by the same people. I'm really glad that we finally got the story about what happened in Japan since it's been hinted about for a while, so this one was a bit step back in time from the last book.

It was a very quick read. I read over half of it in one evening, then I read the rest the next morning. So, it's quick. And, as usual, it was just a fun mystery that I got absorbed in!
