I really, really enjoyed this book! Maybe more so because of quarantine, lol. The characters are written in a way that is supposed to be unlikeable, but I still found ways to sympathize with them. I found it really interesting to learn about why the main character wanted to go into hibernation and to see how her thoughts changed throughout it.

NOTE: book does contain the R SLUR TWICE! Both used in derogatory manners!
I know a lot of people don’t like this book because of how unlikeable the narrator is but to me, I think the author wanted us to feel that way. She is unlikeable, she is mean and twisted in her head. And she needs a therapist ASAP. But I think that’s just how she was made to be in this book.
50% of the book felt depressing to read but I must say that the last 40% was addicting. I couldn’t put the book down so I finished it in one sitting. While I felt that the book’s ending was abrupt, I think this book was very entertaining and enjoyable.
I will however wonder what happens to the narrator after the last page.

This book is insane but captivating. I don't think I could really appreciate it until I finished the last page.

Would do it again if it was a Audio book

Reading the other reviews helped put into words what bugs me about this book the most.
Sure, you go in knowing the main character is unlikable and that's the point. But did she have to be racist and fatphobic too? Did her privilege have to be brought every possible moment?
This book is def trying too hard to be edgy. But I'm mostly annoyed that it doesn't really say anything. So it makes the random racism and fatphobic and massive privilege feel pointless since nothing is done with it.

It's a great book. It's funny in some parts, melancholic in most.
