UPDATED REVIEW (11/18/2023):
UPDATED RATING (4 STARS)

Things are getting interesting in Locke House. More fascinating keys discovered.

Zack/Dodge is still undiscovered by the Lockes, using the Gender Key to appear to them as the woman from the well whenever he needs to go against them.

The Shadow Key is interesting and freaky. I love the Giant Key though! Pretty cool. My favorite is the Mending Key though. How handy would that be? Love it!

Kinsey is very idiotic at this point and really needs a healthy dose of her missing fear. She's gonna get herself killed at some point.

The story is still really fascinating and gripping, though. I love the artwork and the pacing. It's just really good. I can't wait to see what happens next (since it's been too long to remember).

ORIGINAL REVIEW (12/22/2013):
ORIGINAL RATING (4 STARS)

In Volume 3, Crown of Shadows some cool new keys are found (The Shadow Key, The Giant Key, and The Mending Key) and some repercussions from actions in the previous volume are starting to come to light.

I'm still really enjoying this series. The artwork and story is really amazing and I'd highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get into reading graphic novels.

I don't want to say much more because I don't want to spoil anything, but check out this series if you haven't already, it's really very cool. I can't wait to see what other keys are discovered!

Pretty good volume. It leaves more unanswered questions for sure.

I'm really enjoying this Locke & Key marathon. I feel like now we are pretty much done with the material that was used for the series.
I really loved the fight with the shadows, such a shame that they didn't worked a way to use the "house"? key in the series, that would have been really beautiful.

I still don't like the way the characters are drawn, but overall I really enjoy the style of drawing.
I'm not entirely sure on some mechanics which were introduced (where did Luke in the glass actually came from?), but in general, I can still follow the story pretty easily.
