While I did like the author's slow-burn thriller style, the pedophile content was disturbing. I'll check trigger warnings before trying another Lisa Jewell book.

This is one of those books, where I finished it and all I can think is “what tf did I just read?” And I genuinely don’t know what or who to believe.

I can very much see why this is such a hyped book and why I keep seeing 5⭐️ reviews for it everywhere. The pacing of the book was spot on and it definitely had some creepiness to it. I was flying through the pages!
I liked how the story was told through multiple POVs and the "podumentary" transcript. (Podumentary = podcast turned into documentary) It broke up the story and made it an interesting read.
What I also liked about how the story was told, was that at the beginning it was confusing and weird and oddly intriguing. And as you keep reading.... everything starts to become clear. It's not mindblowing in my opinion, but it did take a turn I wasn't expecting.
Now the ending.... I am not a fan of ambiguous endings. I want closure. I would've been content with the last "Sixteen Months Later" part taken out. But I get what the author was doing making it ambiguous and it works for this story. I just personally wish we had a solid answer of what the truth really is.
The subject matter of this book is a bit tricky.... I recommend looking up trigger warnings before diving into this one.
Overall, great read. This is my second Lisa Jewell book, and I will be checking out more!
