I loved this so much! The topic is one that's very close to my heart and I liked seeing it put together with the BDSM aspect.

Stian is the kind of alpha hero we all love, he's gruff and stand-off-ish but still so protective of Lacey.

Lacey isn't healed at all by her new relationship, it even makes her struggle a bit more at times and that is so important to show, how new life developments like relationships often don't really solve much for mentally ill people.

Nevertheless, we see Lacey trying to get up and help herself and take the necessary steps and Stian is right by side and open to helping her make their relationship as comfortable as it can be for them.

At the start, the focus is very much on the BDSM relationship and in the second half we get much more of Lacey's struggles but I still think the pacing worked and showed that a BDSM relationship also requires work that goes beyond just sex.

Such a great read that deals with a really hard topic in a sensible manner. Be aware though, that there is a lot of internalised fatphobia and bodyshaming from the heroine in this, so make sure to take care of yourself ❤
