I still think this series is adorable and everything a pre-teen girl needs to pass time and foster a love for reading much like Nancy Drew did for me and generations before me.
Each book builds upon the previous books while new "cases" are added and solved within the one book. I wish some of the continuing storylines would move faster or get more mention.
The same supporting characters are still annoyingly ridiculous. I think Kathy could be a great asset if she was a little less self-absorbed and a more supportive sister. Even Grandma's meddling isn't as annoying as Kathy's. I tend to expect meddling from older generations. I haven't decided what I think of the twins yet.
I still recommend this series for anyone who has a short amount of time and wants a light read.

Jill is taking on a lot of responsibilities in this one. She has her sister's birthday to go to on the exact same day as her dead mother's wedding. Yes, I'm afraid you did read that correctly, and it is beyond funny to read about. Also, she has several cases to solve, a talking cat, and a talking dog, and this one ends in a little bit of a cliffhanger.
I really thought this one was very good. I enjoyed Jill's character, and how she is changing in each book. I also really enjoyed the mysteries in this one, and I can't wait for more.

Another great installment in the “Witch is When”series. This time Jill has moved up a level in her witch training. Her mom, the ghost, gets married and her sister has a birthday celebration on the same day and she has to attend both. Plus, she has dates with both Jack and Drake. And that’s not including the multiple cases she’s investigating. The girl, who 2 books ago had no life, now finds herself with one that’s too busy.
I really love getting to know Jill, both her kooky families, and her friends. It’s a delightful world to escape into.

Cute quick reads. Definitely a few things I would change. But overall they are good!

Witch P.I. Mystery book 3
More laughter and fun! Winky mayhem, the twins, and of course Grandma are all keeping Jill on her toes and me in stitches! Love this series! On to book 4!!

The series certainly has improved. there are still times when I roll my eyes and the writing style isn't always the easiest, but it is getting better!
