The line that got me to read the book: "...it's perfect for fans of Judy Blume's Summer Sisters and Elena Ferrante's My Brilliant Friend."

On the other side, I whole heartedly disagree with that statement <3 But it got me! It got me to read it! Well done marketing team.

I fear this book just wasn’t very memorable for me. I feel like the story had lots of potential, but lacked major character development moments that would’ve made me feel more connected to the characters.

Quick easy YA novel, could have used some more character development to feel connected to the characters.

this book was painfully nothing. i didn’t feel attached to any of the characters, there was a lack of plot, i was just painfully not entertained the entire time. however, i have given this two stars because i felt the writing style was quite good and the story flowed well, and i could also see some of the motive for the story; there was just a lack of drive in character or plot
