One of my favorite picture books at Christmas time. I would make it 5 stars except the illustrations are not quite as great as the text, in my opinion.

The idea was nice enough but I didn't feel that the execution of either the words or the illustrations were as memorable as they could have been. Kind of blah.

One of the loveliest Christmas books for young children. The text is simple, the illustrations beautiful.

The stray, the lonely, the old, and the small all come to the manger. What a picture of us coming before the Savior.

The story is so very sweet. Children of all ages can understand the idea of making room for someone smaller than yourself, it's a concept that is learned very early on in life. The pictures are just as beautiful as the story. My 6 month old son can't keep his pudgy little hands off of the pages of this book (while he does try to eat most books, this is different--he wants to touch the pictures). This is a great Christmas book to share with little ones and hopefully they'll want to keep reading it and feel engaged with the underlying theme of making room for little ones.

Beautiful and simple with soft, reverent illustrations, this is a nice read aloud for Christmas. Definitely religious!

The animals in the stable welcome many others into their home on a cold night, saying each time “there is always room for a little one.” Then the most important “little one” comes to stay and they are humbled. Cute story with animals as characters for children to love!
