I really enjoy this series. I think Angela Marson's books are great. This book is 3 in the series and it is just as great as the other 2 books. I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review*

Kim Stone is great...fearless, smart, and snarky. Unlikeable in so many ways, which makes her even more likeable in just as many. She does have a softer side, which is appearing more and more. No matter how long I go between reading about her, I remember more than I usually do with other serial characters. This particular story made me uncomfortable, there was so much hate and violence, but I couldn't wait to get back to it each time I had to stop reading. Edge-0f-your-seat plot and incredible characterization is making Angela Marsons one of my favorite authors to date!

Two girls have been abducted while waiting for one of the mothers to pick them up after a swimming lesson. Now the two families are pitted against each other in a bidding war - which ever set of parents bids the highest amount gets their daughter back. DI Kim Stone and her team are assigned the case. Another fantastic read in this series by Angela Marsons.

Angela Marsons is the author of 2015 for me i have never wanted an author to keep releasing books as much as i want Angela to do with Kim stone i could read them forever.
Lost girls is brilliant as a mum of two i did find the storyline abit frightening at the start but Angela's perfect writing kept me reading the story.
I liked how in lost girls Angela's writing was darker and graphic in the description of the bodies and i really liked this i hope Angela carries on with as for me it makes me feel the story is more real.
For me the best part of Angela's books is Kim and her team i liked how in each book we are learning more about her past and what shaped her to be a stong driven individual she is and i think she is brilliant.

Angela is one of best crime writers out there the Kim stone books are in my top ten of the year the only disappointment i get is waiting for the next book to be released everyone should read this series.

Trigger Warning ~ harm to children

Once again, this book kept me up all night while I finished it. Not as good as the last book, but not as hard to read either. Still a lot of harm coming to children but last book was way more twisted, though this one had its moments.

Kim was bitchier than usual in this book, which I kind of liked. She's a very flawed person/character but that's what makes her compelling. Though I hate these themes of children being hurt, I'll probably read more.

I liked this book best so far in the series. I felt I understood Kim and the other characters better, and better appreciated Kim's strength and ability to put everything into solving a case. And what a case it was!

Having your child kidnapped is a terrible experience, I'm sure. What would you pay to get the child back? Probably whatever they ask for, if possible. But what if you need to bid for your child when two are kidnapped? You need to bid higher than the other parents. That's what happens in this story. But there's a lot more going on that just this, and not much time to figure it out. Kim needs to work fast, and is held back by uncooperative press, two sets of parents that don't necessarily trust her to do what's right for them, especially when one set might lose. Then there's a problem with witnesses dying along the way. Definitely one of those books that's hard to put down.
