This is a really cute (if somewhat opinionated) book. I enjoyed the illustrations and the personal style in which it was written. I think it was a little thin on the information at times-- but in terms of the author's stated intent (as stated in the little blurb at the back book flap) to make Medieval Studies accessible, I think it's a good job and a good launching off point. I think it would be fun to bring out this book occasionally at the start and end of each season to just see what it says. It's pretty enough to keep around at any rate.
