This is a busy book for 178 pages.

I did enjoy it I will point that out. I'm curious about the explanation of her sister suddenly being a shifter. And them being different shifters?

Good romance though, just a little quick.

Fated mates are supposed to feel the attraction to each other the first time they meet, so why do bartender Tex Williams and businesswoman Jenny Smith suddenly have a pull the second time they meet? What Tex doesn't know is that present-day "Jenny" is actually her twin sister Laura, on the run from the mob. But can their relationship last when he finds out who she really is?

This isn't the best of Zoe Chant's shifter books, but it's not the worse, either. The plot get convoluted and overly complicated in places, but the love story between Tex and Laura is intriguing. I like the background of the "Mr. World Shifter" pageant, which is a clever touch, but it doesn't make up for the rest of the otherwise basic book.

3 stars - I liked it

This was another good fated mates story. Tex was a laid back but also protective bear. Laura is a woman who is trying to start a new life away from the mob. She is also struggling with the death of her twin sister. I liked Laura and Tex. Their relationship was fast, action packed, and steamy.

Also, I am really enjoying the Shifting Sands Resort and the shifters who work there. I want to read the rest of the series now, especially if it means I can figure more out about Scarlett.
