Chapter 2 was devastating and bittersweet. Explores how invalidating environments and abuse might impact children to have issues of belonging and self image. Another theme of the chapter is how children of dysfunctional families often times struggle to dream extensively about their future. Their dreams are often simply about having a peaceful home. Dreaming about finding a place to belong to and be validated.
Reaching for freedom, only to stumble from one cage into another. Big ouch

A collection of short stories about the Tokyo Ghoul cast- I think this might be a translation issue but I didn't enjoy this at all, just very stilted and boring, with a lot of the information already being told to us in the main story. That being said my favourite story was Akira's, as I felt like this gave us some insight into her that was new and it helps that I just like her character a lot. The last line? Ate so hard, especially knowing she told Amon she hated him.
