Very cute, easy read. Some little things that were cringy but not enough to deter reading. More emotional than I would have expected but in a really good way!

On The Plus Side was an absolutely wonderful read. Between the plus size representation to the wonderfully captivating transformation I was generally happy throughout the whole book; even catching myself kicking my feet and giggling giddily from time to time. Everly’s transformation was awe inspiring through and through. My only wish is that we had a bit more at the end for her
Like I really was hoping despite her quitting the show we got to see her do the collective after all.

I liked this one a lot more than The Make-up Test, the other book I've read by this author. This felt more mature and nuanced than the last book. I enjoyed the plot lines and the characters.

This book was the perfect sweet, cozy, easy romance read. Think queer eye, but for fat people. I loved Everly's character, her quirks, and her commitment to herself.

Everly’s dream is coming true. She’s just been chosen to be on her favorite makeover show, On the Plus Side; her crush at work is paying even more attention to her; and she’s starting to feel more confident already. As the production starts to unfold and she realizes her goals may be different than she thought, she finds an unlikely friendship with Logan, the show’s cameraman. Feelings for herself, and Logan, continue to evolve and develop among the challenges and hitches in the show’s production.

I really loved Everly’s representation. As a plus size woman, I really related to her complicated relationship with her mother, and her lack of confidence in putting herself out there. I also really liked that it wasn’t simply “hot guy pays attention to the fat girl.” There was a lot more to Logan than appearances, and he had his own self-conscious moments. I wish that a show like this existed for real!
