3-3.5 stars - it was good, 4.5-5 stars good, then the dream sequences/illusions/wtf's began....and went downhill very fast :(

I bought this book after seeing that it inspired "Into the Dark" on Netflix. I was pleasantly surprised by how different it was from the show, and that it was less about surviving the apocalypse and more about what it means to be human, to be conscious and to create a civilization from the ashes. It's cyberpunk philosophy at its best. There were just a few elements that were a little tricky to follow with regards to structure and character but overall this was a great read.

I found this book thanks to the Netflix show "Into the night", which was inspired by this work. After loving the show I just needed more and so turn to the book. I was not disappointed by the continuation of society in a world without organic bodies. And the theories of what destroyed everything... just wow. I will stop now before I spoil you and I will go search for more books of this guy.

Four stars for the amazing ideas, but the reading was very slow. If you are looking for hard fiction this is your book but I struggled a bit.

Dukaj jak to Dukaj, zaczyna od dość prostej historii by skończyć na Dukajowej opowieści o transhumanizmie.

The kind of book that will make your brain hurt, but in a good way.
