Favorite Quote: “Lauren leaned her head on Sydney’s shoulder. And right then, at that moment, she knew that the only person on this earth that she could trust and hold on to was Sydney.”

Rereading this series over as an adult is interesting. There are so many things I missed as a preteen when o first read it. Sydney and Lauren are like night and day but they are blood…twins that is. Sydney is ready to take one the work and a grade A student while Lauren would prefer to be in the pastes music video. As they try to manage the ups and downs of being a teen girl at on of the most expensive and clout saying schools news that their father just got out of prison after 12 years throws both girls for a loop.

When I tell you I am not the biggest fan of Lauren, she has no loyalty to her twin at all  and it’s so jarring to read as people treat her twin in ways most people would defend their sibling from but she does the opposite.

I appreciate the ya romance storyline for both girls. Dealing with age appropriate conflicts that teens have in relationships, good and bad.

Solid start to a series however the ending/cliff hanger was a little lack luster.

Passable urban fiction that's like a vacation for your brain. All the brand name dropping also reminded me just how unhip I am--and I like it that way.
