The story of Acheron, why he is who he is and how he got to be that way. I found it an interesting story.
And then I re-read it and found it as much fun the second time, Tory is such a good match for him but the end felt somewhat deux ex, but at the same time quite true to the series. There are a few scenes from Acheron's past that are quite disturbing and uncomfortable.

It was worth the wait for this book. Acheron deserved a book for himself and this one does him justice. Maybe the first part of the book is not the usual dark-hunter novel but it works for this book since it allows us to understand Acheron.

This book was just EPIC! From the back story all the way to the wedding was a page turner I just didn't want to put it down. Artmeis is totally the bitch from HELL, I thought I had hated her before, now I truly know without a doubt that I completely despise her. Wish she could die for sure. Poor Nick, ya just kinda have to feel sorry the guy. Great Book, I now see why ACHERON is favored by many.
