This was really good, and told one story from multiple perspectives quite well. I felt like I really got to know the characters and their flaws, and cared about them. This told a story of a time that I think was neglected in the history books (Jim Crow South shortly after WWII with Black WWII Soldiers returning home) and I'm always a fan of historical fiction that sheds light on an interesting but under-taught time in history.

Beautifully written story about a family living in Mississippi during the late 40s. I appreciated how the story is told from the viewpoint of all the main characters.
