Ancil, Trinikid, has a lovely and relatable way to suck you into his story. As a fan of pop culture (movies, music, books, tv shows) myself, I loved the way he used examples from movies into his own stories. I could today see the “zombies” ambushing the hostel for examples
He shared the good, the bad and ugly through this book. I normally try to avoid anything pandemic related because of my own (or better said our collective) trauma during those years, however, the way Ancil told his story wasn’t triggering at all. It made me feel part of this experience we all had during that time, doesn’t matter if you are a digital nomad or a girl from the Netherlands who spend her covid days locked up in her house.
