Probably my least favorite John Green book. Colin was annoying and selfish and just boring all around. Hard to like a character like that.

...I was going to give 2 stars but I don't think I can bring myself to even go that high up....
So I struggled through this. I suffered through this. I don't know why I bothered to finish it, I just figured I should since it's been on my tbr basically since I first read the fault in our stars. I think the fault in our stars is the only John Green book I've genuinely liked. This was just.... annoying.
The dialect or slang or whatever it is that the main characters used was SO ANNOYING. (example: instead of saying fuck, they would say fug.) I get it, its a quirky character thing but it's just.. too much......
I did like the little cliff notes, although I read an ebook version so all the cliffnotes I'd have to click on them and then go back to my page so they weren't exactly instant so sometimes I just didn't bother to click them. ANYWAYS its a book about 2 dudes who go on a trip because this guy gets broken up with, they somehow end up in a small town, land room and board with a job, and find out a (kind of) family secret with the love interest or whatever you would call her. just.... too quirky for me i cant

I had been recently seeing a lot of things on Pinterest about this fellow named John Green that were quite hilarious, and after a rather long adventure with google, I found out who he is, and what he does. I proceeded to watch a few of His and his brothers' youtube videos to find that they are super awesome nerds!! Then I realized that this John Green was the same John Green who wrote the book "The Fault in our Stars" that everybody had been talking about at school and on the World Wide Web!! I figured I should read some of his books to determine whether I too could be a Nerdfigter (the vlogbrothers' league of supporters) so long as I also enjoyed his writing.
I quickly rushed to my bookstore and decided to purchase "An Abundance of Katherines" because I like the word 'abundance' and the cover was my favorite out of all the books. (I later discovered that a fellow Nerdfighter had actually designed the cover.) I tore through that book in less than a day. It was excellent!! Never have I found a book that so perfectly encompassed my love for footnotes and "useless" trivia! Needless to say I've been slowly reading the rest of his books ( I'm reading them slowly to savor them.) and have found them all to be equally superb!!

My least favourite John Green book🤔 It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't very good. And the plot is just very unrealistic...

3-1/2 stars. Need to re-read but cannot bring myself to because I am suffering from John Green overexposure.

Goed geschreven, een beetje voorspelbaar, maar ik heb er toch van genoten. Bijzonder aan te raden voor het (jongere) doelpubliek. Eens zien wat Henri ervan vindt.

first thing first I actually like math and algebra so I thought maybe I’ll like this but no, it had no reason to exist so I felt disappointed and betrayed
also I loved a good no plot just character study, the thing is this book has no character study and you can afford no plot when the dialogue it’s interesting enough and in this it isn’t
I read it bc I bought it back when it was released and I still haven’t read it and yeah it was basic, surprisingly not sad
