I’m going 3.75 stars. This book was super cute and I’m obsessed with Archer! I want to protect him at all costs because he’s just so pure. The story was good and I enjoyed most of the characters. It was great to see asl representation in a book. I liked the growth for both Archer and Bree. My main turn off has to do with
Spoiler the implied sexual adult against Archer and how Bree’s reaction wasn’t recognizing that it was 100% rape. I know nothing actually happened to Archer at the strip club, but the reader, and Bree, didn’t know that initially so I was upset seeing Bree say that Archer made the “choice” to go in the back room. <\spoiler> Other than that though this book had me smitten

This book captivated me from the START. I just LOVE bree and archer. I love their angst and relationship. It was SO sweet. They both had trauma to work through- at first it made me uncomfortable kind of how much they started to depend on each other? But honestly it’s wrapped up beautifully at the end.

Also the way the author showcased archer’s anxiety, trauma and thoughts? OMG. It was done so well, i felt his every emotion and felt for him. My sweet archer. He deserves everything.

There were so many times I hugged my kindle because they’re so precious to me and even sobbed because of the emotions they made me feel 😭

What made me not give it 5 stars.. were all the sexual acts they were having. You could say it was part of them figuring out their relationship together and I didn’t really mind how it was described (bc honestly the author did such a good job).. it was just how much it was occurring? I thought it was alot in my opinion but their thoughts and emotions being described during the act(s) made up for it!

THEY BOTH HAVE MY HEART AND I JUST LOVE THEM SO MUCH. THEY ARE APART OF MY PERSONALITY NOW. My sweet babies. They deserve it all.

This 👏🏽 book 👏🏽 right 👏🏽 here 👏🏽 !

My favorite quotes are at the end this time because there are so many!

Archer’s Voice took me through so many emotions and I found myself with tears in my eyes not even a fourth of the way the way through. It can easily be binged in a day, but I made myself slow down because I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to Archer & Bree. To top it all off, this copy has an extended epilogue that really put the icing on the cake!

Full disclosure, this was SPICY spicy😆. But I HIGHLY recommend it!

< Favorite quotes >

“Sometimes an understanding silence was better than a bunch of meaningless words.”

“Try to believe that maybe more light shines out of those who have the most cracks.”

“..the loudest words are the ones we live.”

“I knew I loved her – fiercely and with every part of my heart, even the broken parts, even the parts that felt unworthy and without value. And maybe those parts most of all.”

“Bad things don't happen to people because they deserve for them to happen. It just doesn't work that way. It's just… life. And no matter who we are, we have to take the hand we're dealt, crappy though it may be, and try our very best to move forward anyway, to love anyway, to have hope anyway… to have faith that there's a purpose to the journey we're on.”

This incredible book is about Bree and Archer healing from their past trauma. Individually, yet together they manage to cope and allow themselves to trust again.
The story was so beautiful and heartbreaking at times with such a great message.

  • “I realized people’s reactions had more to do with them, more to do with who they were, than anything about me.”

  • “I had to fight for myself first”

  • “Love was all about learning to speak a person’s language”

  • “You brought the silence.      The most beautiful sound I’d ever heard”

  • “Archer Hale’s voice was one of the most beautiful things in the whole wide world.”

  • “The loudest words are the ones we live”

SpoilerThe more i think about this book the more i realize i hate it. I think that the traumas from the main characters were romanticized. And the second that they got together i lost all my interest, which was way to soon. And wtf was with the plot with the hooker! it did not add anything to the story, they already have alot of traumas! I get it he doesn’t have experience but during that, he does repeatedly say that he knows he is doing the wrong thing. So why justify him going to a stripclub???!! And the ending wtf was that?! It was a whole new plot in the last few chapters. Overall i just cannot give it more than one star…
