Rating it lower because I felt like it should be named something like “how to be ace, OCD, and autistic” because tbh being ace is only like half of their story. And for something names “how to be” something, it doesn’t note enough how different each person on the aspec spectrum is (IMO of course).

Also rating it lower because towards the end anytime there was a character angry, upset, mean, yelling, etc it seemed to be a person of color? It was weird to have everyone who questioned anything around asexuality look a specific way. (I could be wrong and I didn’t notice it throughout the entire book, but definitely the last chapter it was noticeable).

This is such a helpful book! I learned a lot about how aromantic and asexual people are treated and was finally able to understand some of what I'm going through.

I'm grateful to finally understand what a QPR type relationship looks like and feels like and what it feels like to be touched averse (but not to all touch!). I'm grateful for this book!

I read this for a book club. It was alright overall, but I think it did a lot of telling instead of showing.
