This is a really solid reference book for all things house plants - from cacti to ferns. I'd recommend keeping this around whenever you need to troubleshoot (brown leaves, moldy tops, no fruit) or if you're considering getting any new plants, as the plant profiles include optimal light conditions and maintenance that you'd need for each one. There are also some fun projects such as how to create a moss tableau, plant hangers or terrarium.
The only things I thought were superfluous were actually at the very beginning and had to do with the design of plant spaces, for example how to balance out the size of plants or balance colour. In my opinion, this is very straightforward. Chances are that if you're looking to make it pretty, you probably have an idea of what pretty means for you and the same type of advice applies to fields such as construction, architecture or interior decor.
