“No one with a book is ever alone, even in the darkest moments.”

¡Me encanta!

“Because when next we meet in your Christian heaven or my pagan afterlife, or some shadowy, hidden corner where those two may touch, I want to hear that you lived a long and happy life after me. That you did as you liked, and loved as you liked, and left the world shattered and empty in your wake.”

“In bocca al lupo." It was a phrase that the High Garda used to wish one another luck traveling through the Translation portals, a process that was painful and terrifying and dangerous in equal measure, and it seemed right about now. In the mouth of the wolf. "Crepi il lupo," thomas responded as Jess's cell was locked tight, and the he was gone, prodded down the hall and to the outer door and away. Kill the wolf.”

This was definitely my least favourite in the series so far, I enjoyed the first half but the second half really dragged for me for some reason. I’ll be sticking with it though and seeing where book #4 goes.

This book was super stressful and heart pounding till the very end! There was no rest for this group. But what the hell is Jess thinking!?? Obviously have to wait to see how this grand plan plays out in book 4 before I decided his character is an idiot.

I really enjoyed this one! Lots of danger, and everyone wants to kill and /or use our main characters. Its a fairly face paced book, and lots of danger around every corner.

Wow. The Great Library strikes again. I like this next step alot, though not as eventful as the other, still action packed. And the ending, while giving you a bit of explanation leaves a huge cliffhanger! So ready for #4!

This series is perfection! It's hard to put down and I'm in need of the next book and also afraid of what will come next. The cast of characters are some of my all time favourites.

There's something compelling about this series, about a corrupted all-powerful Library and a groups of scrappy people willing to sacrifice anything and everything to bring it back to what it could be.
But there's also a lot that's depressing about this book, with its layers of betrayal and the devastation of what they are willing to sacrifice. Death and destruction. Deadly games of chess. I want to know...but I'm not really having fun anymore, and I'm mostly sad and disgusted with the characters.
