My 8 year old daughter loved this and didn't want to stop listening to it. She thought that it was fun and exciting and can't wait for the next one.

This was a fun book that I really did not expect to be as good as it was. There are some parts in here that would make this a great read for older kids, younger kids might get scared or miss some of the finer points of one of the character's sarcasm at times.

Hyacinth and the Secrets Beneath is a charming story for middle-grade readers. It suffers some pacing issues but all-in-all is well-executed.
