I always enjoy reading Mary Higgins Clark's mysteries. I read this one in two sittings. I appreciate that Clark's stories aren't too gory or intense. In fact, my 13 year old daughter read this one too and she also liked it very much.
The characters aren't extremely deep, but you do get a pretty good idea of the major players. In order to keep the book short enough to read quickly, Clark jumps quickly from what happened long ago to modern day. There were some pretty far-fetched, almost cheesy situations, but I was okay with that for this story.
Everything is tied neatly in a bow at the end and you don't have to wait until the very ending to learn what happens. If you're looking for something easy to get lost in for a weekend, this is a good choice.

The book keeps you captivated from the beginning to the end, there are a lot of characters but they’re easy to keep track of (I took notes). The plot was so intriguing & just kept twisting & turning that you had to know what happens!!!

This book seemed to go on forever without anything happening. Very shallow characters

This book could have been better. I don't like the slow moving plot that reaches the end and then it gets hastey and trying so hard to be unpredictable..

Slightly predictable for me, which was surprising for one of her books, but I will always love anything written by her.

This was a totally gripping story. A complete page turner. I'm only sad that it is over. Mary Higgins Clark is truly The Queen of Suspense.
