I was scared this book wouldn't live up to the expectations, but I was fully wrong. It was so cute, fun and witty, I just loved it! I need more of Alex and Henry in my life

I liked it but I wish it was a first person narration since we only focus on the POV of one character. The writing had some memorable quotes but towards the end, the story became a little boring.

This book is adorable. Alex talks like so many of my friends, and is very relatable in his delayed queer realization. HRH Prince Henry is a poetic dreamboat you can't help but love.

I enjoyed all the characters, and especially the dynamic between Alex, June, and Nora. They're were a few moments I found very flowery - like them being together for 6 months when everything happens. And some of the quotes in the emails. But who among us hasn't been sappy in love??

Reading this in late 2024 is wild. I feel like this story is less likely now than it was in 2019, but somehow still inevitable. It was heartwarming and cute and aspirational, and I will definitely be rewatching the movie adaptation.
