I really liked this! The story is a weird-in-a-good-way mystery with fantasy elements and lots of humor. And Jughead is an awesome protagonist who just happens to be asexual - his orientation is mentioned in one frame, but it's not made into a big deal and nobody treats him differently because of it.

And now I want a hamburger. ;)

So much fun! Imaginative, wholesome, but modern in sensibilities. Loved seeing the ace rep, could benefit from a bit more diversity, character-wise. Here's hoping the next volumes are just as good!

4.25/5. it was really good! i loved how it kept some of the stories from the original archie comics (like the superheroes, etc.) it kept the spirit of the original comics but with a new take :).
i also liked how jughead was confirmed asexual!!!

only criticism i can think of is that i wish veronica was in it more. i get that it was focused on jughead, but i wish veronica was in it as much as archie or betty! it felt a bit off without her there

Fun and light-hearted with a bit of a sharp tounge-in-cheek humor.

3 stars. Jughead Jones for the win! I love this character so much and I’m glad he’s got his own series. He deserves it. While I think this first volume definitely lacked something special and the fantasies were far too many for my taste, this was still a whole lot of fun!

I loved getting to know Jughead more as a character, the artwork is great and the storyline is so ridiculous and silly and just fits his character so well. I can’t wait to read the next volume. Also, yaaaas to Dilton being an amazing dancer being canon. I have such a soft spot for Dilton so that made me entirely too happy.

I can’t get enough of the Archie universe and I look forward to reading more from it.
