I had to pause finishing this as work over the Christmas period got in my way of my reading life.
But I picked it back up no bother and dived straight back in.

I did get a little fed up with the confused triangle of Mal/Stephen/ Wendy/Michelle etc etc.

I’m a total sap though and I cried when one of the Characters (main) was killed.

But all in all a good book for me but could have been a little better if it wasn’t for the repetitiveness of bits of the story line and having to remember who’s who.

I really liked this book. While I loved the ending I hated the middle.

First Thought When Finished: Holy emotional roller coaster batman! This one hit close to the heart!

Speed Date Review:

First Date: 3rd degree starts with the steady rhythm of Lindsey Boxer at work. We are dragged back into the gals world and really hooked when a major emotional bomb is dropped by one of the members. There really is no way we can't continue on after that!

Second Date: The gals keep us hooked as they navigate the emotional ups and downs of the case and the personal issues. They really band together and show what this club is made of! This even becomes more evident when they must defend one of their own.

Third Date: 3rd Degree made me cry and want to pull the gals into a warm embrace. There is nothing like an emotional punch to the stomach to make you want to get the bad guy. This ending just held more oomph for me and really signed off strong!

Audio Thoughts:
Narrated by Carolyn McCormick

These are relatively quick listens. Carolyn does an excellent job with voices, pacing, and emotion. I really enjoy her narration. However, the sound effects are HORRID and way overdone. Many times the distracting music tracks pulled me out of the story. In some cases, it even drowned out the narrator. I just was not a fan! I keep sticking with the audio hoping that these will eventually go away. We will see!

Relationship Status: Still Dating
