This book surprised me!
I wasn't sure exactly what to expect, but I thoroughly enjoyed reading this.

The characters are likeable, even ones I wasn't sure I would like. The humor can be subtle, yet heartwarming. The book doesn't have that "first book" feel many other new series books are having: aka not a ton of info dumping or preparation of action with no action.

This was a quick, enjoyable read and reads young, but is still fun for older readers as well.

I look forward to reading the next book!

I have been trying to finish this series since I was 12 but something keeps preventing me to move past book 8 and by the time I pick it up again I need to start over because I forgot everything. completely my fault though

I was really excited about this series, but unfortunately, it didn't click with me.
The chapters dragged on and it took me ages to finish the book.
I liked the characters but there was no character development or much depth into them.
The romance was predictable and wasn't interesting
And overall, half the book was just a description of borderline abuse!

Good start to the series. A reread from when I was in middle school - still a good book!
