I have read this book so many times since I was kid. It is a fun book to read out loud! Miss Nelson does not show up to class and there is a new teacher, Viola Swamp! I would recommend this book to any child and parent. I need to get a copy of this book.

One of my all-time favorite books! Miss Nelson is Missing is an adorable story describing what happens when you take a person for granted. The illustrations are extremely colorful and creatively portray the imaginative thoughts of Miss Nelson's students.

Fun classic with a great twist that I enjoyed revisiting with my stepson.

first read: when I was tiny

I've read this many, many times, and decided to reread it on a whim. I actually read it aloud to my pitbull to distract her from pawing at me and my husband (she wanted dinner about an hour early). YES, THIS IS MY ADULT LIFE. Anyway, we both enjoyed the book. Miss Nelson Is Missing is beloved by both dogs AND humans!

I read this book in second grade and the imagery it presented still affects me very strongly. I would recommend this book for any child.

Kid's misbehave so a "substitute" teacher scares them straight. I'm just not buying it. Though the twist makes the book not horrible, it doesn't rescue it to the point that it was exactly good. The art and writing are good enough but nothing all that special.
