I'm hoping that at least part of this book was written tongue-in-cheek.

One of the better Lesbian pulp novels I’ve read. The ending isn’t as awful as I thought it would be (published in 1960 you had censors) but it still left a little to the imagination that you could still change the ending to a happier one in your mind.
The characters were more complex and layered even with fewer pages I still felt the characters had depth and true personalities.

Strangers on Lesbos connects us to a different time, when a housewife could be attracted to a woman and have no idea what was happening to her, when butch and femme were mutually exclusive and the only categories queer women could fit into. The Feminist Press reprint of this classic lesbian pulp reminds us how har we've come.
