If you ever read a fiction book about war, let it be this one. The story telling was so clever and interesting, and the book truly captures the horrors of war and racism as well as the wonders of love and music. I did in fact cry.
Also, the narration of the audiobook was wonderful, with a different narrator for each God. I’d recommend if you like audiobooks!

This story is told by Greek goddess and gods. They are telling if 2 intertwine love stories. And how they relate to the gods lives. They all have different points of view in these amazing stories taking place during World War 1.

good; trigger warning for like literally everything; author definitely shows her perspective as an American white woman (although not in a super bad prejudiced way, just over explaining racism) … so do what you want with that info

book still overall worth the read imo, but not my most absolute favorite by any means
