The first half of this book was honestly great. I think it took what went wrong in zodiac starforce 1, and tried to improve it. Kim and Molly both immediately get some more focus and character after taking the sidelines in Volume 1, though I don't think what was done with them has yet built on what was set up in Volume 1, which is a bit of a shame. Lily continues to be a solid character throughout, her arc is direct and hits the beats it needs to. Emma, while I think she didn't do much this arc, has moments we can easily interpret of setting up further ways for her character to go,
Spoiler specifically in how she's dealing with her romantic relationships.
The plot felt very silly and goofy, and I love the way the crew seemed to lean into that.

Spoiler I think the book really starts to go downhill after the EU team is introduced though. The tone shift is sudden and jarring, and we aren't given enough time to get used to or care about the EU team at all with how quick they go by. There is only one plot beat I actually got interested in that point, being how they related to Lily. I hope the third volume expands upon the team to make them more interesting, if they're going to be staying. I think they should stay as a supporting cast though, meant to exacerbate the issues the girls are facing, but there are many ways an extra team could be satisfactorily pulled off. I'm also intrigued to see more of Molly, I will admit she is probably my favorite in the team, and I would love her issues with being a magical girl to finally get explored.

Expanding on the adorable and fun story of the first book, the second volume introduces more members of the Starforce. It leaves the reader wanting more
Spoilerand ends on a frustratingly great cliffhanger,
but sadly a third volume doesn't appear to be in the works (yet???).

Af esse volume foi melhor ainda. Eu amo as minhas filhas com todo o meu coração.

Amei a introdução do resto do zodíaco e eu estou cada vez mais apaixonada pela virgo que é gorda e tem cabelo curto que nem eu 😍

I liked that they added a little body diversity, but it took me a minute to realize that it was a retcon. Serialized comics are a trip.

Still not at all worth your time.
