I think I will have to return to this one when I'm on summer break. I feel like I overdosed a little on this sort of reading and wasn't really absorbing the solid thinking presented. Much better than Brain Rules for sure.

I would really recommend this book for anyone who wants to be a teacher, or if you just want a better understanding of the way our brain works and thinks.

A fantastic read for any teacher. It clearly outlines the scientific and psychological process of how we learn as well why, at times, we don't want to! Each chapter has a summary giving key advice on how the science links to the classroom. Highly recommend!

Willingham makes the subject matter extremely interesting and informative. There are quite a few great tips, and I will be referring back to this book when I am teaching.

This is completely readable, in fact, deceptively easy to read, but the ideas about how people learn are compelling and Willingham has clear links to how this might productively shape teaching. I'm inspired.
