Wow- this is a beautifully heavy story about truth and love and loss. I wish I hadn’t finished it so I can experience it for the first time again.

It's one of those books where not much action happens, but it still sucks you in. I guess that's part of Evelyn Hugo

A beautiful and tragic story about the LGBTQIA+ experience from the 50's to the modern day through the lens of a daughter of Cuban immigrants trying to make it big in Hollywood. It's an amazing story that I thoroughly enjoyed, and I will definitely read it again.

My girlfriend was begging me to read this for months but it’s not really the type of book I gravitate to BUT BOY WAS I WRONG! UNREAL BOOK! I cried, I laughed, I sobbed and wanted to throw it across the room in anger. It made me feel every emotion Evelyn had so deeply. The writing was beautiful and the story was just as breath taking. I’m mainly an action adventure type of person but the way this was written won me over so quickly. It’s a book anyone can read and should. The hype is valid and I shouldn’t have let that stop me from reading such and amazing book earlier
