Entertaining and enlightening stories that give the reader insight into the lives of Palestinian families living in Maryland, USA. As with all short story collections, I liked some more than others, but all of them were worth reading.

easy and quick read. great perspectives on the struggles and joys of being immigrant families specifically those from palestine. many interconnected stories showcase difficulties that face palestinian women. there were a few times i got confused by all the various characters, but overall it was a great book that flowed well and got me invested into the story line. i recommend if you’re looking to support palestinian authors and/or want to learn more about the immigrant experience once arriving to the states.

Love these stories and how they’re intertwined and that they take place in Baltimore because the locations are familiar to me.
Had to stop often to look up definitions of Arabic words, but I didn’t mind.
