Beautiful. Magical. I LOVED reading this book. I got goosebumps reading the very magical moments. I felt lost when I finished it. I wish I could read it for the first time again.

I really enjoyed the book overall, but ended up feeling more disappointed by the level of focus on romance across all people and then the parts of it that mixed between reality and not felt like it was more of wishing for a proper ending rather than something that perfectly fit together. It felt more unfortunately forced.

Pretty good until the end,
l liked most of the twists but the twist with Madame Bowden felt a little rushed and confusing

I LOVED this book. A beautiful display of magical realism. I loved guessing ties and clues along the way and it felt like such a reward to get a few right!! It held me the entire time and my heart broke over and over again for Opaline. Yet the growth and beauty that is discovered for all the characters is so rewarding. 🥹

It's a charming book. Very easy to read and keep up with. Perhaps the family twist was a bit easy to see coming, but an all around, well put together book. I really enjoyed the character Henry, but that's because he's a bundle of anxiety and self doubt packaged in a body that pretends to know it's on top of things, like all of us.
