Couldn't care less about the politics (too many scenes with rulers in rooms talking about their big bad plans for the future), but the story is very enjoyable when story is actually happening. The audiobook helps me breeze through all the names of people and places I don't actually care about. Ciri is a super badass derp, she's great.

I liked the first half but then it dragged on too slow which made me loose interest. Missed Geralt as well in the second half.

“But do you know when stories stop being stories? The moment someone begins to believe in them.”

Gerennefelion is better than Geraskier. Also, Ciri just said I'm going to escape this desert no one has escaped before by sheer force of will. Not really concerned about the threats on Ciri's life as she has proved more than equal to the challenges so far, but also wondering where is Yennefer, and how many books do I have to get through for a reunion (with a hinting suspicion that we won't have another full one for quite a while) and the reveal at the end of Season 2?

The world is on the brink of war and a gathering of the sorcerers is called to try to solve the problems. Unfortunately, it’s impossible to know who to trust in the world of The Witcher.

This series is proving to be a highly enjoyable read. Obviously I wish the women were written a little less sexualized than they are, but overall I’m enjoying the plot and most of the characters. Much as I said after the last book in the series, I’m intrigued to watch where Ciri and Geralt end up in this crazy war-torn world.

This book might not contain as much action, but there is so much information that helps build the depth of the story.
