I just adore this series, especially good for the littles! Frank Morrison's joyous illustrations are what really sets it apart.

Great back to school book. Makes you smile on every page. It could also be a good book to read at home before starting a new school year.

With bouncy text, lots of sound words, and boundless enthusiasm, a young girl greets the new school year with an abundance of positive energy. This would make a great first day readaloud or share with kids to garner excitement about the new school year. Pair with The King of Kindergarten or I Will Be Fierce for more positive takes on starting the school year or the school day.

It made me sad to read this particular book, but only because of this year in general. I plan to buy this in hopes that next year (HOPEFULLY), the kids will be back in school buildings.

I wanted to love this book. I certainly loved the spunky girl on the cover! What a disappointment inside though.

The theme is good, but the story isn't fluid. Vibrant art.

Love the spirited main character! Nice use of sound words to punctuate the story.

I love the rhythm and cadence of this story and the inclusive representation and vibrancy of the illustrations. It is an excellent back to school book for Pre-K and Kindergarten, though this year I am hesitant to share it since the majority of my students will be starting school remotely and will have to catch the school spirit a little differently than in the main character did in this story.
