Pandemic books are a lot of me  sometimes but I appreciated the very real part of things being good in a budding relationship and questioning it every step of the way.

What a cool capsule of time on the very early months of the pandemic. That and the SNL nod. It was really interesting to follow their journey. Noah is the perfect book boyfriend for sure.

Infinitely cute. Noah is everything I’d want in a partner (in character - I could live without fame and wealth, and character is what makes someone “hot” to me). I’d still want to date if I could find more people, men in particular, who are like Noah. So even though he’s fictional, it was a pleasure getting to know him alongside Sally.

Didn’t realize this book was in large parts about Covid. That’s fine, but too soon for me. Character descriptions are good but also overall rather boring, and for a book of this title, it’s really not that funny.
Alright read, I guess.

This book single-handedly and very unexpectedly saved me from an incoming reading slump. The book is divided into the chapters (minor point deduction here, because they should definitely be called parts, as they are too long to classify as chapters in my book) that all feel very different pacing-wise and from where the characters are at. The highly paced first chapter of a very stressful and entertaining work-week at TNO (*cough* SNL *cough*) contrasted starkly against the slowed down paces of chapter two and three, mirroring
how the pandemic slowed down most people’s lives in 2020. The writing style, conversations and dialogue were very quick-witted and a delight to be read by any woman who says “ I hate men” a tad too often at every chance she gets.
Small subjective criticism is that the romance took quiiteeeeee a while to get rolling and I simply cannot take a serenading scene seriously, ever.
