I thought this book was really creative and I liked the way that all of the characters interlinked.  I thought the writing was good and it was certainly funny in places, which was balanced with the more challenging themes in the book. I think what I loved the most was the diversity of characters and complex family situations. I knew from the first page that there will be a lot of children that will find themselves in this book.

It has certainly made me intrigued to read more of Jason Reynolds and I am highly anticipating his other works. I would really recommend this and think it is a really great read.

It was interesting. It’s just all about a moment happening on one block during one time in one area. I thought it was going to be more pivotal or more intense than it was! But it’s still really great to see these stories being told from many different perspectives.

LOOK BOTH WAYS by Jason Reynolds is a middle grade collection of stories about students leaving school and where the walk home takes them.

I love Jason Reynolds writing style and how he says so much with so little. The stories in this book were well-written and charming. This isn’t a book that you necessarily feel the need to read in one sitting, but rather a book you can come back to when the moment’s right.
