Perfect light reading and probably the only type of romance I could handle - in the setting of cold water rescuers. Enjoyable, will read the next!

I really enjoyed it! The mystery was kinda already mentioned in the blurb which idk why lol but it was written so that I was kinda doubting the blurb anyways - maybe I’m gullible.

Lou was a great female lead as there was a balance of fear and independence on her end that felt relatable. Callum was the perfect broody male lead clearly in love.

The only drawbacks is the cliff hanger and lack of Callum pov.

Very good!!

Well written. Heroine is quite funny. Hero is every inch the alpha male. Nice twist at the end.

With just a few reservations, I loved this book. Told entirely in Lou's 3rd person POV, Lou was hilarious. She was crazy and quirky and the perfect opposite match to by-the-book, OCD Callum. Which is a source of Lou's relentless teasing. Anyway, being told in Lou's means that any indication of Cal's feelings or inner thoughts is a gem to be cherished.

Although the blurb mentions Lou finding a dead body while diving, the suspense of the book comes from the fact that someone is stalking Lou. And the stalker is very dangerous.

The book ends in a HFN, but you get the feeling that it's really a HEA. Not all loose ends are tied up.

Unfortunately, HOLD YOUR BREATH ends at 75%. After that, there's and excerpt from FAN THE FLAMES and I don't know what else.

I really loved my visit with Lou and Callum--the book was both suspenseful and funny. I recommend it lovers of suspense who enjoy quirky characters.

This book tells the story of Lou, who moves to a small, isolated town in the Rocky Mountains and joins the dive rescue team. There’s pretty much everything you could want in a book – suspense, action, romance, humour… This book has it all. The humour was what made it a five star read in the end I think. The rest gave it depth and made it a great read, but the humour elevated it above other books I’ve read.
