This was hard to read as a middle schooler as a required reading.
But the storyline and some of the major like lessons are definitely interesting.

A lot of people rated it low because they had to read it for school. Although I did have to read it for school, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am rating it a solid 3.5 stars.

I had no clear narrative in my brain about the salem trials , except that there were women that were wrongly accused and killed, i even had pyre in my mind instead of hangings. This sroy not only filled the blanks but also provided a riveting, tense and absolutely heartbreaking narrative in an incredibly written text. Even the italics for the non verbal cues , usually instructional, beared so much gravitas to the story. Only reason why it doesn't get more is that it is based on a true story and it does feel that certain aspects were changed for dramatic effect, particularly with regards to Abigail.
