It was good up into the last 30 minutes of it… I thought it had redeemed itself with 10 minutes left and then seven minutes left. I didn’t end up liking it.

This was a fun little read. Short sweet and to the point. Both characters were just okay to me. I really hate insta love so that was hard. I also felt most of the dialogue to be akward. I found myself constantly rolling my eyes because no one actually talks like that.

Vi and her freaking submissive timidness. I had a very hard time relating to her which is surprising since I tend to be nonconfrontational. But there is timid, and there is having absolutely zero backbone.

Corbin was kind of a psycho. But he was okay. A little over protective and way too sexually charged. But I didn't despise him totally.

I had super high expectations for this book based off so many recommendations and ratings but I’m left feeling super disappointed. This duet didn’t do it all for me at all. Did I read a completely different book than everyone else??

I didn’t have many issues with Corbin in part one but I thought he was awful in part two. His actions and the actions of his business partners are such an utter betrayal (ESPECIALLY with the Doc)!! Make that make sense to me! Maybe I need to read this as if it’s set in a fantasy world where their actions have literally no consequences. What these men did behind Vivian’s back was deceitful and non consensual. I still can’t quite wrap my brain around it to make it ok.

I really had no issue with Vivian (boring and super naive) other than she remained pure while Corbin never was and I hate that this plays into the virgin/whore complex for women in society. And I get it - it probably shouldn’t be that deep BUT that’s my honest reaction.

There wasn’t even a good amount of spice in it either. It was so vanilla! Which shocked me for something that was supposed be about BDSM.

Totally unexpected story and first book I’ve read by this author and on this subject and will be reading more like it!
Stumbled upon a TikTok video and immediately downloaded and binged this book. Absolutely loved the whole ride start to finish!

There aren't enough words to describe just how amazing and wonderful I found this story. Came across the author on TikTok and loved what she was doing to promote her book so I figured I'd give it a go. Did not disappoint.
