Insta-lust/love? Maybe, but I really enjoy Geissinger’s writing style and her characters. They feel real, and I’m already jumping into Sloane’s story ahhhh.

Kage and Nat! well this story hooked me up from the start, their chemistry was scorching hot, I love the refreshing side of the mafia stories I usually read. I so going to need the next book, I want Declan and Sloan. I liked the emotional ride, but I will have to say it dragged a bit in the middle. Definitely a book you can enjoy fully as it's a standalone, I like that had a dual POV, and really like the characters. You enjoy dark romance, just get this one and enjoy.

J.T. Geissinger is becoming one of my favourite authors, the narration of this book is amazing as per usually, duet style
I love the storyline and plot, very exciting, fast paced, funny and nice level of spice.
I am definitely going to be listening to the rest in this series

DNF on Chapter 17…

Every once in awhile I like Mafia books but this is not one of them. I just was not a fan of the heroine. She was so dumb giving into this man because he looked hot. His stipulations to be together were ridiculous for how long they knew each other and after what happened at the restaurant, a sane person would have gotten the fuck out of dodge. I am curious though if there is a backstory on her ex fiancé so I might skim it to see. With so many books waiting to be read in my kindle, wasting time on this one feels sacrilege. In this case the grass is definitely greener on the other side.

I thought their relationship wouldn’t be so insta-lovey & evolve as quickly as it did so that was a bummer to read. I also assumed the book would have darker themes and be slow to medium paced, but it read more as an erotica with very slight mafia affiliation mentions than anything.
