3.5- one of those really deep (pictures say a thousand words) kind of comic. I was pretty lost but also heartbroken for the main girl. - I don’t know

It’s an interesting look in on the pain of the older sibling and the responsibilities they carry, or think that they must.
Moving - I think - but the ends falls a little flat. A little too open ended and I don’t think I quite understood the meaning or lesson of the story.

This book is very...still. Change is brought up often in dialogue, but the art is carefully framed and lingers on small moments. Feeling and not-feeling are constantly present. It's hard to describe, and it's something that I feel like could only be done in comics form.

I really love the style of this book, it's very nice graphically. The story is very reflective, appearing through the illustrations - it's not obvious and the reader has to piece it together + there is a lot of room to insert oneself inside the story as well, to relate and interpret it as our own story.
Maybe read a little too quickly but a nice read in any case.

At times, the pictures were not clear on what they were depicting but I liked the simplicity and detail. The honesty of the story was emotionally compelling. The use of different ink levels was a good touch, too. A book like this is visual art first, and, like most paintings in my experience, will resonate with you or won’t - there is not much in between.
