I'm done. It's finished. I never have to read this again. I am satisfied knowing that the entire thing is creepy and I should never have read it as a young teen.

I feel so conflicted... I love Takuto, and the ending was really satisfying and sweet, but Eichi is my favorite, and my heart breaks for him. He's the only character who brought tears to my eyes (well Mitsuki too), and his relationship with Mitsuki is really beautiful. I almost wish there could've been a way for him to have come back, though I suppose it wouldn't make much sense haha.

I've heard the anime is pretty different? I've never seen it before, but reading this has me curious. I'll definitely give it a try, after I let my heart heal a bit, I'm not in the mood to cry anymore right now lol.

It ended so well! I had a lot of my questions answered and I didn’t feel confused. Loved seeing Madoka!

I've put this series off for a while because I remember everyone saying how sad it was. I am so glad I finally gave in and read it.

I cried. I cried so much. Oh gods. So much crying!

I'm glad I decided to read the series, but good gods I wish I had hydrated properly. I'm really happy with how it ended too.

Overall it was pretty solid series; the premise is heavy but it had enough of a candy coating to keep it from completely ruining me - plus the art is seriously gorgeous.

My only real complaint is that the translation was.... awkward the entire run. Stiff and unnatural in places. Sometimes to distraction. It IS an older series and I don't really hold the translation against it, but it's a (minor) annoyance all the same.

All in all - I had a fun time with this!

There were some good points in this series, and I really liked the art style, but the overall verdict was... meh. Weird relationship dynamics, a Mary Sue for an MC, random goofs and filler, and a huge scoop of deus ex machina to wrap everything up.

I don't know why I keep trying to finish mangas from years if not decades ago - I was probably better off with the childhood memories of this being good, than finding out the hard way that this series didn't age well at all. Oh well. I guess that's what happens when you've greatly outgrown the target audience...

I AM REALLY DEPRESSED ABOUT THIS ENDING. BEAUTIFULLY HEARTBREAKING. Buuuut, in a way or another, almost everyone got their happy ending. Almost. Though it still hurts.
SpoilerI FEEL SO BAD ABOUT EICHI-KUN AHHHHHHH I WANNA CRY. But I'm glad Meroko and Izumi got their happiness, that Takuto and Mitsuki got to live and be together... (Some part of me still hoped for Meroko and Takuto, but Izumi and Mitsuki also deserved the love, so). I JUST WANTED EICHI-KUN TO GET HIS HAPPINESS TOO, UGHHHHH NOOOOO. WHY IS LIFE UNFAIR?
But the story really is beautiful. Tragic, but beautiful. The way Mitsuki deals with her disease is so admirable and sweet, and how she chases her dreams with such conviction. And UGH, I love the shinigami so much! Takuto, Meroko and Izumi are my dearest sweethearts. They had a tragic fate, but at least they got happiness out of it later. I absolutely adore the new concept this manga gives for the shinigami, portraying them as angels, showing how they were given a second chance and not a punishment. Full Moon WILL BREAK YOUR HEART IN A MILLION TINY PIECES, but it's a story that needs to be told, that grows on you, that becomes a part of you. It's super recommended.
