"Das Huhn, das vom Fliegen träumte" ist eine wirklich berührende Fabel. Ich habe sehr mit Sprosse mitfühlen können und über ihre Probleme und Wünsche nachgedacht. Es werden viele wichtige Themen aufgegriffen, die sich von der Tierwelt auf die Menschenwelt übertragen lassen. Diese werden vor allem durch Hwangs "einfachen", bildlichen Schreibstil und die Illustrationen vermittelt.
Alles in allem lässt mich das Buch etwas traurig zurück, was aber auch Sinn und Zweck dieser Fabel zu sein scheint. Und dafür gebe ich 5 Sterne, auch wenn das sonst nicht unbedingt mein Genre ist.
